My wife and I are planning to tour Australia and New Zealand in January

Vodafone seems to fit our needs as we need coverage including GPRS in
the metro areas, Cairns and Ayres Rock

A few questions

1.   Can I access my own pop and smtp servers?
2.   Can you please provide the settings so that I can set the phones
up in advance?
3.   What is the cost of GPRS, I have heard it is $5 Mb?

Regards

Vodaphone have the worst coverage in OZ by far, sorry to say.

Looks like they threw in the towel a few years ago.

If what you want is coverage, go with Telstra.

Yes, you can access your own pop server. You can probably access your
own smtp server, but your smtp server probably has protection of it's
own to stop remote sending of mail.

Ask Telstra for the settings.  It's probably on their website. So too is
the cost.

Use this Telstra SMTP server: mail.bigpond.com
