Hey

Posibbly stupid pom here - I've bought a Communic8 sim on ebay and have
since learned that Telstra have ditched the brand.

Will the sim still work if I take it to Aus with me in April?

Thanks

Has it been activated?  If not, does it have an "activate by"
date?

Otherwise, it will behave seemlessly as a Telstra Pre-Paid Plus
SIM.  The pre-paid SIM I use daily is from the Telstra "Zip"
days (sometime before the Battle of Hastings).  Depending on
the activation date, call charges might vary though.  And call
credits on active SIMs have a time limit, after which the
service will eventually be cancelled.

If its been activated, it may be okay, unless the credit has expired.
if it hasn't been activated, why not get a mate in OZ to activate it ?
The CSR will know right away when they enter the sim number into the
computer, whether your purchase is a dud or not.
My feeling is that your chances of getting it activated are slim as
Communic8 pre paid sims are quite obsolete.
good luck!

Depending on the stock, they had either a 2 or 3 year "time to activate"
expiry. After which they became duds

Post the SIM number
