Hi guys,

Considering renewing with Optus on a $49 cap, and it says in the fine
print "excludes Optus Zoo content". It doesn't, however, say "excludes
GPRS usage". Can anyone comment on whether GPRS data is included in the
cap or not? Tried asking Optus but the drone seemed clueless and I don't
have the time to be on hold for an hour to find out.

TIA,

Albi.

Logically if it excludes Zoo content then it excludes other GPRS
downloads.
>From the Opyus website:
The Optus Cap Plans and Optus Business Cap Plans included value
excludes some services such as Optus Zoo Browsing, Optus Zoo Downloads,
Content Packs (unless specified in promotions), Mobile Internet usage,
Mobile IM - Instant Messaging, FindA usage, international roaming,
international MMS, international video calling, directory assistance,
premium SMS from 01/04/2006 and 19XX services. Optus Fair Go™ Policy
applies to: PTT usage up to 150 minutes per month, international calls
up to 50 minutes per month, Premium SMS up to $5 per month until
31/03/2006, Mobile IM on the pay as you go rate, up to 1MB per day, on
the monthly option up to 10MB per month. FindA on the monthly option up
to 300 Maps downloaded per month.

Your logic is incorrect. Optus Zoo is a SUBSET of GPRS

Let me spell it out simply, there are no grey areas.

The cap excludes ALL GPRS usage

Is that a little clearer for you????

My $49 cap includes GPRS, but apparently that's just the plan which
includes PTT.
