I know this could probably get heated but thats not the intension. I am
moving to Sydney area and I need to get a new mobile once I am there.
Unfortunately I know nothing about the providers over there. Can you
guys give me a basic run down of the more preferred providers? and who
to stay away from. I will be residing in Baulkham Hills, coverage is a
definite need to know.

Baulkho should be ok but further up a little, Telstra is shitful in parts
whereas voda has a much stronger signal in the same spots and optus is ok as
well.  All this in a hugely populated area too.
Makes a difference when you cant use the mobile at home due to having the
wrong provider for that particular spot....I know.

Thats nonsence. I've been using Telstra & Voda both (2 phones) for a long
time now. Both are just as good as each other around Sydney (Baulkham Hills
ok). You will find Telstra better though when you go to rural areas....
