GPRS enabled site

I am having problems trying to access my site via WAP, the mobile
returns the error "Bad answer from origin server". The url is
http://www.lexisrex.com/test.wml. I have talked to the mobile company
about this (Soul, who use the Optus system) and they have come back
saying that the website is not "GPRS enabled". Can anyone explain what
this means? As far as I know WAP uses HTTP, and provided the MIME type
is OK (the above url returns a Content-Type of text/vnd.wap.wml as it
should) everything should work. Is there anything else that makes a
site "GPRS enabled"? (I have asked my web hosting service as well and
they themselves have successfully opened the above URL in a mobile
phone, or so they say).

thanks

"We don't understand what you're asking, but to save face we're
feeding you this line of bullshvt in the hope that you'll swallow
it and leave us alone."

One possible fix might be to put the words "GPRS Enabled" somewhere
on the page, bolded, and possibly surrounded by blink tags. Call them
up again and say "but look, it *is* GPRS enabled"...

That's what I suspect. I have had now a UK and a US person access my
site, so it's something to do with an Optus gateway I reckon. I am
amazed how hard all this is, from simply setting up the phone for WAP
in the first place.

eg, now if I access this site from my phone I get an "Authentication
Required" error, and I haven't changed a thing!

Thanks for checking that. I've been trying to get access to another
service to test it. Now I can go back to them with that anyway, or
just move to Vodafone.

My phone can get to other sites so I think it should be OK. Plus
another phone has the same problem through Soul/Optus.
