It's a pretty sad day when even spam is more readable than Alan Parkington's
bullshit.

I have never posted any bullshit. Just news about one of this countries
greatest companies, Telstra.

I suppose technically you are correct, you have just posted propaganda.

It may well have been back in the Telecom days, but now, especially in
the hands of Sol it has lost all credibility and is being raped by the
Mexican for every cent he can get out of them.

Wake up to yourself Parkington and help get rid of the Mexican instead
of blindly believing Tel$tra is still Telecom.

You won't even answer the question: "What is your position at Telstra Mr.
Parkington?. " that you were asked in another thread.

By refusing to answer he is loosing what little credibility he might of
had to start off with.  But then again copy and paste doesn't really
establish any credibility anyway!

I have said previously - I have several friends who work there, and have
previously done some contract work there myself. You can consider me a
supporter of Australia - and Telstra is the most Australian of any of the
major telcos, ergo is worth supporting.

I am of the mindset that I don't mind paying a few cents extra for local
product, as I don't want to see this country simply become a branch office
where everything is controlled OS. I like to think that I am helping to keep
this country afloat and buy jobs for our kids - that's why I don't shaft it
simply because I may not like the current boss. That's called being a
"fair-weather friend"

Here's some reading for you misers:

Nope, just a terminal fuckwit.

Must be one of those rocket scientist terminal fuckwits.

Mindless silly stuff.

> I am of the mindset that I don't mind paying a few cents extra for local product,

Pity that telstra flogs f.ck all local product, and you pay a
lot more than a few cents extra to use them too, fuckwit.

> as I don't want to see this country simply become a branch office where everything is controlled OS.

What matters is who delivers the best value, fuckwit.

And there are plenty of other operations
that dont have fuckwit yanks at the helm too.

> I like to think that I am helping to keep this country afloat

Wota terminal fuckwit. It will float fine
regardless of which  telco you use, fuckwit.

> and buy jobs for our kids

There's no shortage of jobs for the kids with an unemployment rate of 4.x%, fuckwit.

Why do you lick the mexican's arse so enthusiastically tho ?

> That's called being a "fair-weather friend"

Nope, thats called being a terminal fuckwit, actually.

Mindless steaming turd flushed where it belongs.

I doubt that any of us does. However, Telstra's services costs a tad more than a
"few cents" than that offered by its competitors.

My main gripe is its NextG service. If I want halfway decent coverage for my
mobile phone, then it's NextG or nothing. Oh, I can go with any of the others'
GSM services but they're woeful in lots of places where I travel.

So, I can choose whether to pay the extra that Telstra charges or go without.

I'd love for something like 3 Mobile's $29 cap on NextG. That'd suit me down to
the ground.

There are lots of telstra caps available. They are listed here

Perhaps I should have qualified my comments. Make that, "value for money caps",
or "cheap caps". Starting at $50 a month isn't cheap and it doesn't suit my
pattern of usage.

And I just spotted this:

5. Not available to customers recontracting, upgrading or changing between
existing Next G™ or 3G services. Offer ends 30/6/08.

So, that'd count most of Telstra's customers out including myself [1].

Thing is, why would customers of other carriers bother if their carriers offer
better caps?

[1]. So much for rewarding customer loyalty, hey?
