You may not have heard of Jeremy Shum, but if he has anything to say
about it he'll soon be a household name. So who exactly is this
unknown 17-year old?

Jeremy Shum is an Aussie with a big dream. In the words of the Jeremy
Shum Dream Team Jeremy "wants to become the biggest rock star in this
big big planet known as Earth before the retirement age of 20." And
he's taking his quest for stardom online. Jeremy Shum has started a
website called, My Rock Star Dream, where he maps out his plan to
achieve super-stardom in just three steps!

Jeremy Shum - My Rock Star Dream
Step #1 for becoming a Rock Star: DATE THE BIGGEST TEEN CELEB ON EARTH

Jeremy Shum is setting his sights high and is putting it out there
that he wants to date no one less than Disney teen queen, Miley Cyrus.
On his website, My Rock Star Dream, Jeremy Shum says that Miley Cyrus
reminds him of Hilary Duff and calls Miley a "Christian bad girl"
which he claims is good for publicity. It's not clear how Jeremy Shum
intends to woo Miley Cyrus a.k.a. Hannah Montana other than telling
fans to spread rumors online that he thinks Miley Cyrus has it going
on.

Jeremy Shum - My Rock Star Dream
Step #2 for becoming a Rock Star: WIN IDOL & CHART MULTI-PLATINUM

Jermey plans to try to win Australian Idol by learning to sing and
going for the sympathy votes. If he wins, he plans on donating the
cash prize and donating it to a charity that helps kids in Africa. He
also thinks the fact that he looks like Joe Jonas (you be the judge of
that) should count for something.

Jeremy Shum - My Rock Star Dream: Step #3 for becoming a Rock Star
#1 RATINGS ON YOUTUBE

Jeremy Shum has his own YouTube channel where he plans to upload
episodes of The Jess & Jeremy Show (a knock-off of his wanna-be
girlfriend, Miley Cyrus' own show, The Miley & Mandy Show). Of course,
he hasn't actually uploaded any episodes of The Jess & Jeremy Show
yet. But good intentions should count for something, right?

And did I mention that Jeremy wants to achieve all of these goals by
the ripe old age of 20? Kids these days!

If you want to help out an aspiring rock star, then check out Jeremy
Shum's site, My Rock Star Dream, for way that you can help. All I can
say is, best of luck Jeremy!

In the States, such people usually end up with restraining orders, not
dates.

Or, if you rip him a new one, he'll have two dates. But in the future,
please don't reply to these publicity trolls.

If we all followed that advice, you and Alan Parkington would become sad,
lonely little c.nts, wouldn't you.

Was that a question?  It sounds like a question, but lacks a question
mark.

It was a rhetorical question so required no answer. As it required no answer
I omitted the question mark, in order to save electrons and help in whatever
way I can to reduce global warming.
Your unthoughtful response and my subsequent need to answer your question
have rendered my attempt to save the planet useless. A polar bear is
probably drowning somewhere right now as a direct result of your sillyness.
I hope you're happy now.

That's not so much a 'little slag' as an automated stealth marketing
post. Must like product placement etc. Its probably one of many promos
made by some advertising company making automated fake posts to
newsgroups to get people to notice their products.

This has been happening for a while. Since Canter & Seigel in the 80s
actually. Blair Witch Project was heavily promoted through newsgroups
at the time in much the same way.
