I can not figure out how to switch between the headset and the phone
when on a call.

According the the H500 manual, I hold the action button down to
transfer it from the phone to the headset - but that ends the call.

I see no option on the phone to switch it to the headset.

To switch it from headset to phone, same question?  I tried even
turning off bluetooth during a call, but that doesn't work.

I have the same problem with the HS820.  How long one holds down the button
to do various things requires a timing talent that I haven't mastered.

On my Motorola v551, there is a menu button.  If I press it during a call
while the HS820 is paired, there is an option there to "use headset", or
"use handset".
