Am using 1.3.2.7 as supplied which works fine & with SE s/w with either
my T39 or T610. Can I upgrade or fresh install a later version & if I
can, is it worth it? If it ain't broke...

Belkin lists an older s/w version for v1 & later versions for either v2
or v3 & when I tried one of these over my existing stack, it comes up
with no BT device found (the dongle was left connected during the
upgrade, unlike the initial install) so returned to the perfectly
functional 1.3.2.7.

As you said, if it's not broken...

The latest versions add support for HID (mouse, keyboard), Printing and a
couple of fixes. Unless you NEED this, don't worry, 1.3.2.7 is very good.

Precisely why I haven't persevered with hacks, installing from scratch
etc. I didn't know there were 3 versions of this dongle until I visited
the s/w update page - I seem to have the oldest. Although I've had
problems getting Headset profile to work properly, I'm not worried
enough to faultfind at this stage. I sometimes live with minor wrinkles
& choose to spend my time just using my PC rather than tuning it!

The first / original version will not work with headsets, regardless of
software :(
