Are there any programs for Nokia Series 60 mobiles that actively search for
Bluetooth enabled devices every set period of time, all the time or only
when activated, and will alert the phone user with a message/ringtone?

I've got a program on my 3650 that searches for local devices when asked -
it doesn't keep doing it. I forget where it came from.
Keep in mind that the Bluetooth interface takes some battery power - you
will find that if this is constantly running it will cut battery charge
noticeably.

There's Symbian Dater: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=1958
But these kind of programs require the other part to be running it too. Like
a viral market idea. If you're looking for something that will alert you,
without establishing contact, then I haven't seen one of these yet.
