I recently upgraded to a BT phone.  I have read numerous pro and con posts
for different headsets.  I've narrowed my decision to ones in the subject.

There is a lot of info on the Jabra but not a lot on the Bluetrek G2,
However, the info/reviews I have found on the Bluetrek has been all
positive.

Your thoughts, please.

whatsoever...does all I need and sound quality/range is good.

Cheers

If you can, get a look at the internals for both phones.

I was astonished at the shoddy level of workmanship inside my Jabra
BT200. The primary on-off switch is a surface-mount microswitch,
mounted at a right angle to the direction it's "pressed."

It's a failure just waiting to happen.

There is tons of the JABRA 200's and 250's in the marketplace. I have not
heard or seen of ONE instance of power switch problems or failures. Isn't
that interesting. Point being, not a concern.
I have 2 JABRA 250's , I get god battery life, very comfortable and have
ZERO complaints. I will say, that like all BT Headsets, the human body can
and will cause interference and works best on same side as the phone is
worn.

You've heard of two now. The power switch on mine broke off after a
couple of months. A good friend of mine bought one after I recommended
it - same thing happened to him, again after just a couple of months of
use.

The large plastic button that sits over it has no "stop" to keep from
overpressing the microswitch, and provides way too much leverage to the
press.

I reiterate - it's a failure waiting to happen. The only things holding
the microswitch on the circuit board are four very tiny solder pads. No
plastic pin, no epoxy, nothing else.

It's a very poor design.

On the other hand, I thought the sound quality, battery life, and ease
of use were all quite good - I just can't justify spending that much
($80+) on something that is essentially designed to be disposable.

The Plantronics M3000 I got to replace the BT200 even has a
user-replaceable battery, which the BT200 lacked, as well as an on-off
button separate from the call pick-up, a mute button, and some other
nice features.

The voice quality parallels the BT200, for the same price.

I recently tried 5-8 Jabra's, 200 and 250 - this interference SUCKS - and
note: it's not when all is quiet, as that is fine, it's when you talk to
someone.. it's very annoying and the person you talk to can hear it too.
Yes, you want to keep it close to the BT phone (1-3 feet) and w/o any
obstructions, it will work fine.. but this is RF.. you should not have to
worry about placing the phone on the same side of your body as the BT
headset.

If you are willing to live with this, you will like it a lot. If you have
not looked, the M3000 plantronics is pretty good. For me, I'm waiting until
the next generation of BT headsets come out and I will try again.

Just got a G2 for use with S56.  The sound quality is terrible, and
folks on receiving end say I sound terrible.  Maybe just a bad unit,
but this thing is bad.  The range is poor also.  I tried the Jabra,
and sound quality much better, but not good battery life.
