Hi,
Just attempted to upgrade the TDK software 1.3.2.19 (which was fully
working) to 1.4.2.18 and now BT doesn't work at all. In fact the Icon in the
system tray which was Blue and White is now Blue and RED!!.
Right clicking this icon only says "TDK Bluetooth device not found". Believe
me it is there, switched on and the green lights are flashing!
In device manager, there are two drivers under Bluetooth Radios (I only seem
to remember one previously but might be wrong!) - the TDK Bluetooth adapter
and a Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator?
I think the presence of this last device might be the problem but disabling
or uninstalling this has no impact
Anybody got any suggestions please?
Thanks

Is it a USB adapter? If so, have you tried plugging it into a
different USB port? I had exactly the situation when upgrading to
1.4.2.18 and this cured it for me.
Plugging it into a different USB port seemed to cause XP to redetect
the device and reinstall the drivers successfully.
Hi, I would uninstall completely and reinstall if I was running XP, because
the bluetooth software always gave me a problem when upgrading

EXPLANATION:
If you have the Microsoft Bluetooth drivers installed as well as the TDK
(Widcomm) Bluetooth drivers then the Microsoft drivers will load for the TDK
USB hardware. This is because the TDK USB hardware is designed for Windows
XP and supports the Microsoft driver set for Bluetooth. As the Microsoft
drivers are signed they have precedence over the TDK (Widcomm) drivers.
FIX:
Go to you Control Panel, Device Manager and find the TDK Bluetooth device.
Go to the button to update driver and select the driver from the TDK
(Widcomm) installation (maybe a "bin") folder. You'll know when you've got
the right driver as XP will tell you the drivers ar not signed, etc.
