In my area, the old analog system is still in place, but--
Only minimal usage is possible, due to saturation of the cells.
The phone company contracted the analog service to the government,
and government phones have priority access, leaving the other users with
no service messages, and long delays to make calls. In addition,
all existing customer accounts were transferred to Cingular.
