What do you mean by LA? Los Angeles or Louisiana? US Cellular
doesn't serve either. See

Yeah I was looking at the wrong coverage map. U.S. Cellular covers a
lot of the midwest, including the Chicago area and parts of northern
Indiana. In fact, they just set up shop here in the South Bend area
just a few months ago and have really become a force to be reckoned
with.

When I first saw this message subject, I thought "of course, there
are cellular users who are in the U.S. in this newsgroup". Then I
figured out that the question was referring to the provider named
"U.S. Cellular". :-)
