"What I would consider fundamental, non-controversial rights of
consumers, even such as having a due date printed on their bills or to
credit a payment on the business day received, required negotiation with
the industry." - Commissioner Geoffrey F. Brown; California Public

Wasn't this one of the bozos that was around during the energy price gouging
a few years back?  California PUC really showed a lot of concern while that
was going on, and showed that they don't give a crap about the consumer.  Of
course, what else is he going to say- I notice that there is no mention of
anticipated revenue for the state from these regulations.  Wonder why?

One more thing- who gives a crap about the PUC?  Last time I checked,
cellular service was not a public utility.

It apparently *is* regulated in some states. May be in Cali - I don't know.
I do know that it isn't in Ohio, and that it is in New York...

It is, however, regulated in some states.
