Decided to buy 400 minutes, to take advantage of the bonus card I got
in the mail, which added another 100.  With my double-minute plan, I
got 900 total.

So, after filling out all the stupid promo stuff, I program my phone,
get my 900 minutes just fine.

Then I notice the computer says, "In order for your TracFone to be
properly programmed, please keep your phone turned off for at least 5
minutes."

I've never seen this before!!  I haven't turned it off yet, the screen
shows 1453 minutes, how would turning it off help???

I don't plan on turning it off, this is my only phone.  Hope I don't
mess anything up by leaving it on!

Mike I would nnot turn the phone off right away.I have never heard of
that message..The only bad thing about leaving it on would be the
battery will die.I would call Tracfone and ask about that..Then turn
it off and off with them on the phone..Let me know what happens...Did
you get a referral too? Did you know if you get a referral you get 100
free minutes of time and so does the person that referred you? All for
free ...

The phone blew up, burned out my computer room and half of my bedroom.
I guess I should have listened to you!
