I have a friend who is considering ditching his landline and keeping only
his cellphone. However, he says when at home he enjoys holding a home phone
instead of a cell phone.
Are there any solutions I can recommend for him?
Thanks

CellSocket <http://cellsocket.com> and Dock-N-Talk
<http://www.dock-n-talk.com .  You can use your cell phone as a second
line or use as "line two" if you have a two line phone.  Phone just
snaps into a "docking station" and you use your wired phone to place
calls just as you would normally except that you end all calls with a
# (which is the same as pressing the send/ok key on your cell phone.)
Only compatible with certain phones, but if you have a bluetooth
enabled phone you have lots more selection.

If you have a Motorola phone, try Phone Merge instead because it is
cheaper than DocknTalk's:
