Well... sort of.   You do the exact same thing at home, with your home
phone.  The problem now is only more noticeable, because it is multiplied
exponentially, by the fact that you are now... always with your phone.  

It is a paradigm shift that will forever changed society.  We are never
going to be without some sort of direct communication again, unless we
make a conserted effort to do so.  

It will soon be as accepted as breathing.  Perhaps not by choice, but
rather by peer response and pressure.  It is here to stay.  

Our grandchildren will likely have instant communication ability, from
the day they start school, if not earlier.
