Coverage for brit: should I buy a new phone or just stick with my 1900mhz triband?

I shall be residing in the zip code 93518. Any way I can check whether
will be able to pick up the 1900mhz frequency?

wirelessadvisor.com.  Of course there will be 1900 Mhz from *some*
carrier unless you're out in the middle of nowhere.

Per wirelessadvisor.com:  for GSM T-Mobile and cingular.

You may be lucky.  It seems Bakersfield has both T-Mobile and Cingula
1900MHz coverage.  As you're slightly further east the coverage seem
to get a bit more patchy.  In saying that when I travelled from Sa
Diego to Las Vegas I was surprised to find that there was 1900MH
coverage all the way!
