Yes. So far it's a thumbs up. You should ask your questions in the original
post. We may never see this thread again. So far, the only downside to STI
is that they charge an extra .10 to access voice mail from the STI
phone...free from landline. Also, it won't roam, but if it does, it's about
$2-3/min on ARN

Ok just got my Sti phone and set it up. A few
questions:
1. When retrieving voice mail I an save some money by
calling my own cell number from a wired phone, correct?
2. Any candy bar style phones available? I'm not a big
fan of flip phones.

What do you mean by "won't roam, but if it does?" Aren't STi Mobile
phones capable of roaming?

From what I saw on their box at a local Staples yesterday, they appear
to be yet another Sprint PCS MVNO (virtual operator) along the lines
of Virgin Mobile.
I'd assume this means that their PRL does not recognize off-Sprint PCS
systems (perhaps even NEGing them), and if something falls through,
it'd be credit card/expensive roaming time.

No. I confirmed this with them via email:

You have service anywhere on the Sprint network. But if I
understand correctly, if you are outside that network,
your phone won't operate at all. Well, maybe 911, but that
would be it. And I'm not sure about 911.
On the other hand, if you were a regular Sprint subscriber,
it's my understanding that you could roam to other CDMA
networks, such as perhaps Verizon.
In this regard, STI is like Virgin - no roaming.
