I am currently on a plan in Canada, but will be moving back to the US
this fall and in the mean time will be making several trips back and
forth. I was thinking I could get a US prepaid sim card for my T28 to
use while I am stateside.  Is this possible, if so which carrier should
I use. Also, is this the best option?

Any information appreciated!

If your phone has been unlocked, it will work with prepaid SIMS, as
long as the SIMs are tied to an operator that works in the frequency
range supported by your phone. The T28 is a world phone, so you
shouldn't have any problems getting it to work most anywhere.

If your phone hasn't been unlocked, make sure you take care of that
through your carrier before you leave, because the carrier who
provided you the phone has to be the one to remove the subsidy lock.
There are other ways to unlock phones, but you'll have to pay a fee to
a local shop to do it.
