Hello,
Hey does anyone know about this;
I have a TracFone the cheapy motorola phone you get at walmart for
$15. I think its a C128?? Anyway,
You know those game shows like Deal or No Deal and Apprentice where
you can text in and play for 99cents a call?
Well I have been playing with my tracfone and the amount of units
being deducted are only .3 units per text. Which at first I was like
hey this is great, but now am wondering that doesn't work out to 99
cents. Will I be getting a bill from Tracfone?
I paid with a credit card online to buy extended minutes so guess they
have my information. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with
this.
It's fun to play but am going to stop while I am only at 10 calls
until I find out for sure about a future bill.
Thanks for any info.
Annette
p.s. in los angeles area so I think verizon is the carrier but not
sure.
p.s.s the texts are going thru cause I did win peanuts here on a local
game show.

JoshIII responds:
A TracFone *CAN NOT* deduct
more for a text message than its
standard rate, i.e., what it was
programmed to deduct.
GSM TracFones deduct 0.3
units for every text message sent,
and 0.0 (zero) units for every
text message received.
CDMA TracFones deduct
0.5 units for every text
message received or sent.
No, you will not get charged
additionally by TracFone for
playing text message games.
Who pays the 99cents
for playing? Heck if I know?
Hope this helps!
