Hi,

I am on the Tmobile network and something very strange is happening t
me occasionally when i make a mobile phone call. I will be talking t
the person that i called, then all of a sudden the person who i a
talking to can no longer hear me but i can hear them. then Someone wh
i don't know is on the line. and the person who i was talking to sai
they were talking to someone who had an american accent. Today thi
happened and the person on the line sounded like a jamaican. I said t
them that perhaps we had a crossed line and i thought maybe it wa
becuase our numbers were similar so i started to tell them my nummbe
but i could hear them entering the digits into there mobile phone so
knew that if it was the reason of similar or same numbers then thi
person wouldn't need to store my number.

Its all very freaky as this is the third time it  has happened. But th
first time my friend said that they were speking to someone else whils
my line went dead.

the third time it happened was again todya when i rang tmobile t
complain that i had a crossed line. when i dialled 150 a woman answere
and was chatting to someone and hung the phone up. I thought that's odd
Then i dialled 150 again and the usual spiel of "welcome to Tmobile...
" automated answer.

Please does anyone know whats happening? do you think i should contac
the police? as i know something isn't right. Tmobile said there is n
such thing as a crossed wire and that they think i dialled a numbe
accidently but i know i never did that and even if i did why would m
friend also have a conversation with someone else at the same time.

Tmobile said they want me to keep a record but i can't help thinkin
something is seriously wrong.....

I feel like my phone is being hijacked....

I think T-Mobile is right: what you think is happening can't happen.

Before doing anything else I think I would turn the phone's Bluetooth
entirely off to see if that helps.

Sorry but on my phone it lets me know on the display whether i hav
made a separate call or whether there is another caller on the line a
both names appear. Plus it still doesn't explain why my friend als
ended up speaking to sone one else at exactly the same moment. Also m
blue tooth wasn't activated as i rarely use it.

I did contact the police and although its not a police matter they sai
taht the mobile network isn't as secure as phone companies would lik
you to believe.

Anyway i have been advised to document and record whenever thus happen
with exact dates and times. And i will keep you all posted abou th
finding

What country are you in?

When you experienced the "crossed line" condition, was your
intended phone call with someone on a cellular phone, or a
fixed line?  If cellular, were they on the same network?

Some old telephone exchanges could give crossed line faults.
Your call may have gone through such an exchange if your call
was to/from a fixed line phone.

That's very odd then.  I can't offer a reassuring explanation,
sorry.

Were you in the same place each time this happened?  I'd keep a
note of the exact address this happened at too.  If it happens
in only one area, that's further information for
T-Mobile/police.

Hi Samantha,

I am in south london. I phoned tmobile, they have now comnfirmed that
it is a fault. I don't know what kind of fault would cause this
behaviour but it's really annoying, on friday I called my friend about
10 times and spoke to numerous people.  On one call alone i spoke to 6
different people.

When I speak to tmobile again i will find out the cause.

Thanks for all your help

Ms hot
