What's Up With JOTT?

I'm starting to use Jott.  I'm wondering about a few things that
someone else might be able to comment on.

1) The voice recognition, I'm assuming, is at least partially manual,
perhaps outsourced, true?

2) What kind of business model is this if it's free?  Is it eventually
going to be used to publicize some other products from the company?
Will it be free just long enough to integrate itself into our lives
and then gradually get expensive? Or perhaps add "deluxe" features
with charges?

3) Is there any incentive to increase their current 30-second limit on
messages?

(I'm thinking of the free carwashes we had about fifteen years ago and
how they now cost 6-9 bucks :-) )

Too good to be true?

Your email address is worth more than the sum of you and your total wealth.

If they can get other information out of you, that value doubles!

I have not been spammed one single time by anything from Jott.

It's not about spam.  It's about information, all stored in massive
databases available to the highest bidder you may never even know about.

Case in point, did you know ALL of America's phone records are stored by a
company in Israel with close ties to the Mossad?  It's not a conspiracy
theory, it's a fact!

Watch the Fox News reports assembled on this site.

http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/blackmail.html

Amdocs, Inc., and Comverse Infosys are located in Israel.

As I said, it's about INFORMATION, not spamming.

Spamming is the benevolent result of information gathering, just trying to
sell you something.  But, alas, you apply for a loan or credit card....you
apply for a job....you apply for membership in some organization....you
apply for a government job....the information gathered is for sale.

Do you want me to believe that Fox News can be trusted to tell the truth
about _anything?_  That any news operation owned by Rupert Murdoch is
accurate?

That's like trusting the Bush Administration for information.

A joke:
Q. How can you tell when Dick Cheney is lying?
A. His lips are moving.

Your Bubba Of The West (the only bubba you will ever need).
"When you need a bubba, there I am."

But the story about US phone records happens to be true. Whether
the company has links to Mossad, I dunno, but it's quite likely.

His post was an attempt at "deflection", to get the topic quickly off where
the phone records are stored and WHO is looking at them.

I find it very disturbing, given Israel's long history of spying in the
United States, and elsewhere.

Just today on CNN's website, there is a story about how the State
Department has contracted out, of all things in these dangerous times,
PASSPORTS to foreigners!  Duhh.....how stupid.

You're truly clueless.

The Bush Administration's been wrong, but the "examples" of
their "lies" brought up by folks who simply hate them have usually
been pretty simple-minded. Would be pretty entertaining to see
their memos to Jott, tho'... :-)

But now that you bring it up, I do think the entire concept of
information
mining from Jott makes a lot of sense (and possibly a reason for me to
be selective about using it).

Now I'm going to look over the agreement I signed again.  I'm just
curious to see how much of what I say to Jott is now legally
accessible
to the company. Addresses? Patent ideas? Creative writing? Just
statistical
analysis? The possibilities go on forever...

Good call, folks.

For the more common version of the joke, replace "Dick Cheney" with
"politician".

But I don't see any evidence that politicians who are True Believers
are better for us than politicians who are liars.   Liars are more
likely to change when us voters want them to change.   True Believers
are more likely to ignore us because they Know they're Right.    Most
of the wars, and much of the evil of today is caused by True
Believers.

I also don't see that even intelligence is that important in our
rulers.   Not when they use that intelligence to be more competent at
things that hurt us.   Democrats joke about our president's
intelligence - but his policies aren't about intelligence.

It is good while it lasts. I use it often, while I am in my car and think
of something I want to email myself, business associates or my wife, or my
friends. 30 seconds is it, and the rest is, well great as long as it
lasts, same for any.
