I'm in the Austin, TX market and have the SE T616 GSM phone at the
moment. The phone is cool, the features are nice. I could care less
about the camera, although it's nifty. I love the bluetooth though.
However, the service is not so wonderful. Cingular had finally gotten
TDMA working strong and reliably here in this market shortly before the
GSM overlay, but now with this phone, service has gone back to the way I
recall it being when Digital(TDMA) was the big new thing. I'm guessing
since GSM was just an overlay, the signal should really be as clean as
it was with TDMA, or at least not significantly worse. I haven't used
any other GSM phone, so I'm thinking maybe I should just give up on the
SE and try something else. As I said, I love the bluetooth, so it would
be nice if it was bluetooth enabled. That pretty much narrows me down to
the Siemens S56, which appears to be an ok phone. The store I looked at
didn't have a display I could power up, so I wasn't sure what the
display looked like. Anyone have an opinion of this phone?

Or, can anyone recommend any other phone for me? Basically I want
something that works reliably, all the time. The features are secondary.
If what I am getting from this SE is all GSM is going to offer me, I'm
switching back to my 6340i (brick). A Windows Mobile enabled device
would be awesome, but I doubt cingular will offer any of those soon.

The Seimens is another GSM phone.  Reception might be slightly better, but
it won't be worlds better.
