Porting from Cingular to T-Mobile

Has anyone recently ported from Cingular to T-Mobile? Or does anyone
know rough turn around time currently? I have 2 friends planning on
porting in the forcible future.

I ported from Cingular to T-Mobile on Friday December 12, 2003 when number
portability was still relatively new. I was up and running on Sunday,
December 14th. I am so happy with T-Mobile compared to the service I got
from Cingular, there's no comparison. I then ported 5 other phones to
T-Mobile and porting was done in less than a 24 hour day. (All southern
California phones). Go for it.
