Hi,

Just bought a new 6340 on ebay to replace my old beaten up one.

Is there a way to transfer my phonebook to the new one?

Save it on the SIM maybe?

If so, how do i do it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks

I think you can copy (press NAMES/COPY select ALL or something like
that) the phonebook to the sim card, BUT, you will only get one phone
number per name. If your phonebook has names with multiple phone
numbers, the numbers will show up with an appended digit - i.e, Mark,
Mark1 , Mark2.... Not a good way, but better than nothing.

If you have a PC with IR capability, you can download PC Suite for the
6340i and copy the contents to the PC. You can then upload it to the new
phone. This works well and preservs the phonbook structure, profiles, etc.

That's one way. Another way, if you have multiple phone
numbers per name, is to use "Send bus. card" via
Infrared when you have a name selected. Choose
"all details", rather than "Primary no."

Save the numbers to the SIM card (there should be a menu option somewhere to
copy the addesses to SIM). Then put the SIM in your new phone.
