SprintPCS allows up to 5 with appropriate credit rating.
I was told that a fifth phone can be added to my National Family plan after
six months. I've still got 4.5 months to go, then I'll find out for sure.
In the meantime, I'm going to call Cingular and see if I can get them to
reduce my add-on phones from $19.99 each to $9.99 each per month. I figure
my chance of success is about zero, but it's worth making the free call. :-)

I think that they should reduce your addtional lines to $9.99 because that
is the current price.
Let us know what you find out.

Today I called Cingular and asked to have my three added Family Plan lines
reduced to $9.99/mo. The nice lady said that the lower price was only
available if your base plan is $59.99/mo (850 min) or higher. My current
plan is $49.99/mo. (600 min) I then asked her to confirm that if I spend
$10/mo. more for the 850 min plan, then I will save $30/mo. on the added
lines, for a net savings of $20/mo. She said yes. I said "Make the
change". She also said the change would not affect the term of my contract.
