List,
I was thinking about leaving Cingular two weeks ago because I found the
service had degraded in areas I work and live, but thought (was talked into)
trying out their GSM service for a while. I had to change to a GSM phone and
took the Samsung X427 because I did not want to pay much just to try the
service. I found the GSM service to provide much better service than I
previously had and decided to stay with them.
I really like the Samsung X427 phone, I like that I can assign different
rings to phone groups that are in the SIM, and I can get to different
options by using short cut keys, and other things. Since I was going to stay
with cingular I decided to change phones (no charge in 14 days) to a camera
phone and paid the difference for the Motorola V400 yesterday. After the
Samsung, I find this phone to be lacking in many areas. Sure it may have
many more options but I really liked the interface of the Samsung. I was
curious if anyone has experience with the P107, is the interface similar to
the X427? Is it a good phone compared to the V400?
Any info would be great.
Tom.

It is my genreal experience and humble opinion that Motorolas are
among the least user-friendly. They're good phones, but they're not
always the easiest to use. Samsungs, on the other hand, are among the
best with regard to user interfaces, which are usually very similar
from model to model.

My friend had a P107 and it was pretty nice, although it seemed bulk
and unresponsive at times. I just went through the same ordeal and ha
to chose between a P107 or v400 and i went for the v400 because I like
its interface more.
