They will still not get me on that network until they get better training
for the people they have working there. The "techs" there can't even
explain how to access the data network they have now.
Wonder of wonders on their choice for networking cards and such. What other
company is going to provide it to work with Lucent switches seamlessly.
Guess they will have to go to Ericcson and Nortel to deploy it in the areas
where they have those switches.
Thanks for the link but I'll believe it when I see it.
They do provide decent connectivity for voice still. My analog 3 watt
Motorola still works great! I use it to call 611 when my GSM phone is DOA
since I have no home service.

It seams that as they are trying to buy out ATT,
they are also trying to lose their common sense.
Dragging people across three totally incompatible systems will be painful.
And why are they even worrying about it, when most people don't
even utilize the current system capabilities.
Heck, most of the users don't even have a phone that
can use the current system capabilities.
And UMTS is another ad hock CDMA technology.
Something that is designed around patents,
instead of operability.
As a cellular transport, it sucks!
All they will be doing by going to 3G
is a bandwidth pissing match.
We do not need 3G!

I agree with you! Give us cheap 2G service. Then rollout 3G slowly but
please make sure it works well first.
