Cheaper/better deal to switch plans by cancelling?

From what I've seen, converting our current plan to FamilyTalk doesn't
give us any night/weekend minutes, and the prices for the different
anytime minute packages are higher. It seems to me that cancelling our
current plans and signing up for FamilyTalk fresh would give us overall
a better deal on anytime and night/weekend minutes. Thoughts?

(Sorry for all the questions, by the way. Just trying to get the best
plan/deal.)

I think that it would be hard to find a plan better than my Superhome
Familytalk 600 plan. $39.95 per month for 6oo anytime minutes (with
rollover) and 5000 night & weekend minutes. Each additional phone is
$9.95 per. Moto T720 GSM phones.

I don't think that plan is available, I can't find it on the website. The
only plan with a second line for 9.95 is the national GSM, on plans 59.99
and above. That's what I was told when I cahnged contracts on 6/21/04.

I'd have to agree, although I have a slightly different plan. I have 3
phones on the FamilyTalk Nationwide plan w/850 anytime minutes, 5000 n & w
minutes, and free, unlimited, nationwide mobile-to-mobile minutes. I'm
seriously thinking about cancelling our landline phone.

Yep, the $59.99 plan plus 9.95 lines.

Evidently your wife doesn't use the phone as much as mine :-)
