I've been a faithful ATT customer for nearly 2 years. Several times a
month, I login into my account to check minutes. Tonight, I have to
sign-up for that feature, which will not trigger until the next
billing cycle. Damn Cingular!
Hello T-Mobile. Enough of this crap.

But Navas said back office integration would be easy.

I agree. But it helps my frustration with such stupidity! Why would
they just cut off customers in the middle of the month from viewing
minutes?

Did you ask them that question?
If so, what was their answer?

have they ported you over to the merged billing sytem? That might cause
it to reset

Can't you check your minutes by entering *min (IIRC). You get a text
message back with the number of minutes used. Easier than going out to the
web.

but it may not be accurate, and if you have text messaging turned off
(to prevent being charged for SPAM messages) it doesnt work.

No swearing please. There are children on these forums.
Thanks,
Bubba

Hey Bubba- why don't you try reading before posting. I see no swearing in
that post. Moron.

You are proving that point with every post.

Any time.

actually is a system generated feature and therefore a free text message so
even if you can't get basic text messaging if your carrier supports star
services you can get them even with restricted text messaging.

I had my text messaging turned off, cause Cingular had no mechanism to
stop or credit one for Spam, and I got tired of being billed for "free"
messages from Cingular, and having to call up every month and get
credits. Many of the allegedly "well trained" reps had no idea how to
issue such a credit.

Quick check shows it *MIN# for minutes and *BAL# for account balance.

Don -
Is that a text message? I've never used my phone for something like
this. Any help much appreciated.
Don Udel \(ETC\) - 15 Apr 2005 13:21 GMT
Yep. Comes back to you as a text message.

AT&T was the same way. That was one of the reasons I left them from
T-Mobile. IF you did not use the web site in a 60 or 90 period (not
sure which), the system deleted you. The re-sign up was just like what
you mentioned.
My Cingular account after I left T-Mobile has been available online
since the 2nd billing period. THe first billing period only lasted 7 days!
Jack Zwick - 01 May 2005 10:19 GMT
> THe first billing period only lasted 7 days!
They always do that. Then if you decide after 8 days Cingular is not for
you, you get a refund for the phone, but you're billed for a full month
on top of the 7 days. SprintPCS does the same nasty stunt.

I changed my TDMA DOR plan to Cingular Nation and saw minutes starting to
show up on the Cingular web site the next day. Maybe they have fixed things.
