If your credit is good you could set him up on a plan for $29.99 with
200/1000.What's wrong with that? Prepaid is only a good deal for seniors or
people who use the phone a very minimal amount each month.

Credit is perfect, but his ability to count minutes is flawed. When he
runs out of minutes, his phone shuts down for the month. If the
companies would let you put a limit on a regular account, I would not
mind him getting one. However, they make way too much money on kids
going over their prepaid minutes.
Does any of the major companies allow you to limit usage on a
non-prepaid plan?
