Just read an article where Sprint was "Talking Up" Bell South. It
appears Sprint wants to merge with Bell South. If this happens will it
effect only the land line service? Since Bell South is part owner of
Cingular Wireless, and Sprint owns Sprint PCS would the cell markets
stay out, or will we see some collective partnerships between Sprint
PCS, and Cingualr Wireless?

I know that Sprint in my area has roaming agreements with Verizon
Wireless. Would we see those move to Cingular if the merger of their
parent companies takes place?

If BellSouth merges with, or acquires Sprint, then they
will drop out of Cingular, leaving it to SBC. The story
that BellSouth wants out of Cingular and wants to buy
Sprint has been around for a while.

No they wont. The FCC will forbid them from keeping Sprint PCS since
they are part owner of cingular. They will sell sprintpcs as sbc did
with ameritech wireless to GTE which later became Verizon.

Thanks
Angelo
