I'm in Paoli. Switched to tMobile, and the signal strength in and around our
house went right down the tubes. I'm not saying tMobile is unusable or that I
won't stick with it.... but the signal strength is markedly inferior to what I
was used to with a Cingular TDMA account - under which I didn't even have the
concept of zero bars.
I'll probably get one of those signal boosters for the house...

Also, perverse as it may be, it's a little reassuring to hear that Cingular's
GSM coverage in our area isn't all that wonderful either...

You may want to try Sprint or Verizon.

You can check the coverage maps in your area here:
www.deadcellzones.com
Cingular was probably picking up your 850 signal,
so T-Mobile might have a prob doing just that.
If Cingular had 1900 coverage there,
T-Mobile would pick that up with (free roaming).
Check the above link to see which carrier has best coverage in your area.
Do you have a weak signal, or no signal ?
I hope this helps.
