Hi,

Just got off the phone with Cingular. I wanted to update my minutes. Im
from CT

Currently I am on the National plan (not GSM) plan. THe CS rep said I could
go to the GSM national plan and still get the full functionality of my gait
6340. Is this true? The reason I question it is because why would cingular
offer a gsm AND a national gait plan.

I do a lot of  travelling in non GSM areas (VT for example). Will I still
get the reception I have now? Will I be charged roaming in these areas? Or
should I have stayed with the National GAit plan

Hope I am making a clear statement here....I appreciate any help that can be
provided.

When I got my 6340i last Dec., I stayed on my old TDMA 500/3500 $49.99
nation plan (extended 2 years-phone $39.99 after $30 rebate).  Now I get
TDMA/GSM/AMPS over the whole country (within the GAIT map).  If you are
on a TDMA Nation Plan, stay on that.  The GSM Nation Plan only covers
GSM.  Just went online, and under CT, you need to get a Cingular Nation
Plan not a Cingular Nation GSM Plan.  The rep was wrong, the terms under
the Nation GSM plan state that they are 'not' compatible with a GAIT
phone.

I also went with a 6340i and kept my old national plan just as Chris
has.
