Fax and CSD are different -- I have CSD here in San Francisco, but fax no
longer works.

I asked about fax first, and there was obviously some offline consultation
before I got my answer. The answer was faster when I specifically
mentioned CSD... too fast, perhaps. Maybe I should try again, not mention
fax, and just ask for CSD.

I recently checked and CSD is no longer listed as an option that can be
added to my account. I don't know if this change in optins varies by
location.
Frankly, I haven't missed it as GPRS works everywhere I've any GSM
coverage ( and GSM's all I have or can get).

But CSD is voice minutes, of which I have a surplus. GPRS data is
expensive by comparison.
