What is a good nokia candybar phone some of you would suggest? I know about
the 6230b and like it, but cannot find it anywhere inexpensive.

If you can hold out the 6230 will be re-released. Apparently there was
an issue with the 6230 freezing up so I'm sure they are doing software
updates on them. I do not have an ETA on the re-release but I'm sure
it would be some time in October. If you want to go real high end
Nokia candybar style check out the 6682.

I think the 3220 is a really great phone. Fast edge support, fancy light
show with the ringer, loud speakerphone, vga camera,

only thing missing is bluetooth, which i don't use anyways, and infrared

If you had ever used Bluetooth you would see how nice it is to have.
I may sacrifice in other areas but I cannot see getting another
handset without it.
