Hi!
Just got several notifications that I'm subscribed to some daily babes
usa etc...
I'm sure I did not... How come I get them without my consent???
Messages contain 800 number which is an automated phone system asking
for my cell number (I did not enter thinking it might be a scum...).
Quick search on google gave this link:
http://www.csoft.co.uk/sms/prs/usa.htm
My messages came from "shortcodes" 21000 and 27000...
(Btw, voice on that number has strong England accent ;)
What is the best way to avoid getting charged? Will it work to send
"STOP" to those codes or calling this 800 number? Or better not until
talking to Cingular support?
BTW... Was shocked to learn that there is no 24/7 support for singular
(only some other "emergency" number).
Any suggestion will be appreciated!
Thanks,
Dmitry

Sending any one of the following words STOP CANCEL UNSUBSCRIBE are supposed
to work. Cingular specifically required STOP be advertised so that is
always the safest one

Thank you for your answer... I will send STOP message, but together with
subscription notice they sent messages already. I'll probably have to
talk to CS to avoid charges...
