Hey all...

I have an AT&T account as well as my Cingular account, and I have
noticed that the newest GSM phone prices (for new customers or
upgrades) are literally hundreds of dollars more than they are with
AT&T.  I mean, I can get the Nokia XXXX for $29.99 with AT&T with a 1
year contract upgrade, where Cingular wants $249 for the same phone
with a 2 year agreement.... why are they so high!  Take a look at the
prices on attws.com and you will be shocked as well.

Thanks,
Matt

Try as I may I could not find a compatible phone being offered for $ 30
by anyone.  We must be in different market areas.  Do not be too
impressed with what you see.  These prices apply to brand new contracts.
AT&T does you real nice for your very first time- then they start
charging you a lot more money for renewing & upgrades.  Cingular treats
you as new customer each time your contract expires and you want a new
phone.

He said the prices were too high on Cingular downloads, so I told him to
download them for free. I think the point is obvious.
