I'm pretty sure that's what it means, that the offer itself expires, not that
the rate goes up on that date -- that's how other Cingular promotions work.
For example, I'm on a promotional rate plan that has long since "expired"
(1,000 anytime minutes for $40/mo), plus the original MEdia Works Unlimited
(with unlimited data) option which has also long since been withdrawn, but I'm
grandfathered indefinitely. When a price is good only for a part of the
contract, that's stated clearly in the terms; e.g., "first month free."

>could mean that the price goes up on 12/31/05 from $59.99 to $79.99.
>It was this last interpretation that the Cingular rep on the phone said
>was true. He told me that if I switch my plan to the promotional plan,
>the price I pay per month would go up to the $79.99 rate after

I'd call back at least one more time, because I think that CSR may well have
been misinformed.
