North Texas text messaging delays?

Has anyone else had delays in text messages being received? I am
sometimes getting pages that were sent a day before the following day.

I am occasionally seeing long delays here in Northern California, but it seems
to depend on which gateway is being used; e.g., Google SMS but not Yahoo SMS.

Are you in the Sherman or Dallas area? I am close to Sherman but for some
odd reason get service out of OKC. I have had problems in the past with it.
