I have a motorolla v600, and it just broke. People can hear me, but I
can't hear them. Anyway, my question is this. Will Cingular give me an
early upgrade even though I am not eligable until April, 2006?

Yes, if you are firm, polite and persistent they will. Or, you can cry,
yell and scream and act like a little baby and that will work too from what
it appears. ;)

Cingular will usually allow a good customer to do what is called an
"exception upgrade". This usually involves paying the higher one year
price of the phone while extending your contract for another 2 years.
It's not really a good deal to me, but if you are desperate I guess
it'll work.

I have a v400 that does the same thing every four months or so,
I take the clamshell apart, and clean the contacts on the back of
the speacker and on the film where it touches the speaker contact
points. You need a t-7 bit to unscrew the clamshell's screws
and be careful to use an eraser to clean the contacts, I would
not scrape with anything sharp or hard on the film.
