Is there any way to have a text message go to two phones with two numbers.

That is possible, but it depends on how you send it.

I have found this to be true but only with specif handsets.  I have a
Sony/Ericcson s710a and I can send Text Message and Emails to multipule
people.  It all relys on the operating system of the handset.

I hope this helps.

Dave

P.S. Or it depend on how you send it.   {:o)   jk

This is the way I send:
  Same message to different handsets.
  Different messages to same handsets.

I created my own web page with pull down menus and empty phone
number/email fields and empty message fields.

my email server has a "forwarder" setting.  Big advantage, I
don't have to give out my cell number.

I have one email address that will send the same msg to two
cellphones, looks like this-

    Forwarding Maintenance
Current Forwarders
lkcell@xxx.com     2145551111@xmode.com
lkcell@xxx.com     2145552222@xmode.com
lksms@xxx.com     2145556666@xmode.com

Anyone can easily set that kind of thing up with (say) Google Groups.  Create
a group with email-to-SMS gateway numbers like that, and then send your
distribution to the Google Group.  Make the group private to prevent abuse by
others.

More specfically:  I think my wife is cheating.  Can I have her text
messages sent to my phone as well as hers?

No.

Consider therapy instead.  Seriously.

If he clones her phone, he can.

Not with Cingular.

With Sprint, you could set things up so a copy of the message is
retained in an SMS mailbox, but Cingular has no such system.

You have a bigger problem then a cell phone problem. Is it with you or her?
If you are just the jealous type get over it. Jealousy is not flattering to
either side and will eat up a relationship faster than anything. If you
think she is cheating sit down and talk with her. Woman don't cheat for
cheap thrills but because of emotions. If she is it can be worked through
without having to throw the marriage away. Don't sound like a lot of trust
going on so a good old fashion talk will help. AND if you have kids PLEASE
don't do it in front of the kids. I wish you luck, Amylee.

People cheat because they're inherently dishonest and believe they can
get away with it.

If she can't control the reaction to her emotions, he's better off
without her.

Wow you must have really been hurt sometime in the past. I am sorry that had
to happen to you. Amylee.

No, I'm just a realist and know that there's a limited amount of time in
life to worry about things like this.

Really? Take a look around.... women cheat for cheap thrills, because they
are horny, because their husband sucks in bed, ect. Its not all about
emotion anymore.

Or as the C&W song goes, "She's doing it for revenge (of my running
around)..."

Well, thanks for the sage advice from all, including the cell phone
information.  Thankfully, there are no children of this marriage--mine are
grown and I am a grandpa.  The phone is a family plan it is my phone anyway
and I have read all of the messages up to now and she is cheating and admits
it.

Since it my 2nd marriage (1st lasted 31 years) and her 6th, I have decided
that while I may have contributed to the woes she is the primary problem and
the amicable irreconcilable differences divorce will be signed next week
although I would keep her if she would only QUIT screwing around.  Again,
guys and girls, thanks for the advice even though I didn't learn much about
cell phones!  Happy Thanksgiving to all.
