Iwould like to know which way is the best way to activate my Motorola V557
with a ported number from Sprint to Cingular,

on line or by calling 800 number?.

What you are activating is your SIM, not the phone, and either method should
be about the same.

Go to a store to do a port. Go to a store to do an upgrade. Go to a
store to start a new line. After my problems and the problems of many
I have spoken with I would never buy a phone online or through customer
service.
