What are some good web sites for free ringtones?

Good:

-Free (except for WAP data charges)
-More than just tunes (I prefer misc. sounds like old phone rings,
sound effects, and so on)
-Easy instructions

BTW, how can I tell what type of soundfile my phone (Samsung x497)
wants? The instruction manual doesn't say.

Why not just use the ringers that came with your phone? Now-a-days phones
come with many ringers. Why waste money on downloadable ringers? I just do
not understand.

How much money do you waste on a FREE ringtone?

If you provide any user identification information other than a fake email
address, you will waste time deleting spam email. The sites can also install
tracking cookies and other unwanted stuff on your computer. How much money
is your time worth? Nothing in this life is free.

Except for the time you wasted typing this?

Damn, Mij, you post fanatic rants on alt.horology and now you show up
here.  I gotta respect someone who to my knowledge has never simply
answered a Usenet question but always states or implies you're a loser
for not thinking in lockstep with Mij.

Don't you have automatic spam, spyware, and virus removal?  Software
firewall?  Good versions of these can be had for free.  You can also
use mailinator.com or similar throwaway emails.

Great site!

Y'all may laugh, but I found paying $8 to freeringers.net well worth
it...very reliable uploads, explanations, searches, and so forth.
