I received a Treo600 from a friend who had ATT, I'm on Cingular and would
like to use the phone.  Since Cingular and ATT are the same, how can I get
them to give me an unlock code so I can use it on the Cingular Network?

I've Tried updating the Firmware with an unlock in it and that didn't seem
to help.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Treo 600's are difficult to unlock. Your best bet is to find someone
who will unlock it, for a fee, with computer-based software. Should
cost you no more than about $30 if it's possible. Try calling Cingular
and explaining your problem. If you're lucky enough to get a
sympathetic CSR, they just might be able to help you. It has happened
before even though nowadays Cingular is really starting to clamp down
on that sort ot thing. I'm an old Cingular Blue customer (ATTWS) who
has refused to switch over to Cingular Orange. I just bought a new
unlocked phone that I liked and plopped my SIM card in. Works
flawlessly.
