coverage map with band information?

I'd like to try out pre-pay Cingular before I buy into a contract, but
I currently have a tri-mode phone (no 850). Is there a map that shows
which bands are used where, so I can see if I'll need 850 coverage?

For GSM band plan, check out the coverage maps at the T-Mobile website. It
can even been used to determine approx. locations of GSM towers in some
areas using their signal level graphs.

Joel,
Here is the map of the LICENSED areas of all Cellular-band carriers. Click
on your area and you will see Cingular (and ex-AT&T) areas where 850 MHz is
licensed, although it may not indicate coverage.
