Samsung D357 Volume Control

How come every other phone has a volume control on the outside of the
case and also in the software but this phone doesnt?

I used Q-Tips today and still the volume is LOW on this phone, Did
Cingular have a bad shipment of these , because I had two of these
before and the volume was great.

Perhaps yours is defective. My D357 has the volume outside as do most
phones. When in the call it will raise or lower the ear volume and when not
in a call it will raise or lower the ringer volume, same as most phones.
Mine works fine.
