Not on paper, but there is a log of changes that customer service can
examine. It might show 5mb and the change dates, although the comments are
guaranteed to be skimpy. They might mutter something about the data that
you are using being an obvious sign of tethering. You might point out that
www.google.com/glm can eat up .5 MB per usage on a phone.
I deliberately ordered the 1MB plan because it is "unlimited for the first
month", intending to upgrade at the end of the first month. They showed
that I had 1mb turned on, and then turned off because it conflicted with
another feature that I had. I said that was their fault, not mine. Then
they said it was only 1mb, not unlimited, which would have given me 2mb
for the month. When I pointed out that the unlimited free month should
have applied, they credited the entire amount. That was good for a $107
credit, and I have monitored them pretty closely since then.

The woman claimed that her log showed that I had been 1 meg since
last April and it didn't go back any further. To be honest, I don't think I
even HAD data service last April. In any event I started out with a 5
meg plan for (I think it was) $15 or $20 then saw a post in here about
how it should cost $9.95 and called and had them change it.
Oh well, I'm going to dig this unlimited thing. I'd love to try the Google
local thing, but I'm trying to find out if there is a version that will run
on
my 240x240 display on WM2003 (it's java based, so it should only
be the display that's an issue).

The reps should be able to look into your account history and see what you
were on and when the change was made and correct the error

They should, but as I mentioned in another post, the woman
said as far as she could tell, I was on the 1 meg since last
April and the records didn't go back any further than that :(.
